Costuming In The Next Room required sensitivity and consideration with actor comfortability, especially with the numerous scenes in which the actors would appear in period undergarments in front of the audience. Much of the timing of the dialogue and action also depended on the exact choreography of the removal of costume pieces on stage, and I spent much time with the actors teaching them how to properly remove & put on costume pieces, and running a tech session in which we simply practiced all of the costume changes in timing with the dialogue to ensure that everything would run smoothly for performances.
